A specialist in the field of biomedical imaging is going to visit FEE, CTU and lead a 4 day course of optical design organized by the Department of Radioelectronics, FEE, CTU

A 4 day course of “Optical design and simulations” will be lectured by Prof. Theo Lasser, EPFL,Lausanne, Switzerland and will take place at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU in Prague on 16th, 17th, 20th, 21th June 2016. Prof. Lasser is a head of a research laboratory at EPFL in Switzerland and has a large experience in biomedical imaging. Besides numerous publications and patents, (in total more than 100 publications and 30 patent families), he cofounded two companies AIMAGO and ABIONIC, which are providing innovative medical instrumentation. The course addresses PhD students (not only from CTU) interested in an initiation in optical design. During the course, students will learn and will be trained based on Zemax, a widely used tool for optical design in industry. An interactive teaching offers to students a unique opportunity to practice and better understand across practical examples how to use the optical design software.

For those who are interested, please send an email with an application (below) to lukestom@fel.cvut.cz. The number of participants is limited to 20 students.
