Sound quality is an important criterium for its design or processing, e.g. lossy compressing systems, radio and television broadcasting, 3D and VR sound, archive records restoration or hearing aids design. Sound quality measurement can be done both either by subjective listening tests or by objective methods using various metrics or psychoacoustic models.
As the research concerning human hearing continues, it is possible to design a new models and use it for the sound quality assessment.
The aim of the project is to design new methods for measurement of audio quality for various applications.
